      I research micron-size polymer particles with nanoscale metal coatings. These particles are applied in conductive adhesives used in the electronics industry. Specifically, I worked on the link between the degree of deformation of the particles and their resistance characteristics. As a part of my PhD project, I have developed a custom nanoindentation set-up which allows the simultaneous measurement of electrical and mechanical properties of single particles.
