Mollie’s contributions to culture and people operations are meaningful and long-lasting. In my time collaborating with her, not only did she implement effective/efficient tools such as a payroll system and an HRIS, she advocated for strategic investments in our culture, such as expanding our parental leave policy to be even more inclusive and better representative of our core values. Her blend of systems thinking *and* culture considerations are remarkable.

Professional, flexible, empathetic, and knowledgeable - these are the relevant keywords for working with Mollie. From our first meeting to our last, Mollie demonstrated HR partnership beyond her role. She proactively looked for risks and opportunities for the organization and for my department on a regular basis. She was my sounding board, honest-voice-of-no (when required) and occasional educator. If you are looking for a creative collaborator and excellent team player, I highly recommend you talk to Mollie. I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

The company's financial and HR needs were my main focus and priority as an "HR Department of One". I established and developed Praxent's HR practice as the company grew by 500% over 5 years.Employee happiness and engagement are tracked and we routinely hit this company KPI. I initiated an overhaul of our onboarding process which has resulted in consistently achieving a score of 10 out of 10 in employee ratings.Other HR accomplishments include: facilitating company’s first Employee Resource Group (ERG) meetings for Women and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging; implementing an HRIS; hiring a fully-remote team; transitioning an in-office team to remote work; establishing a PTO request system; writing policy; supporting and coaching multiple Directors; establishing a performance review process, adding benefits to attract and retain talent. Benefits I added include a retirement plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid sick leave, and dental, vision, short-term, and long-term disability insurance coverages, and professional development funds.I joined Praxent as their one-woman Operations Manager, which is a way of saying I wore many, many hats! I have been responsible for: bookkeeping, AP, AR, contract negotiation, office management, copywriting, event planning, facilities management, and IT management.

With degrees in Public Relations and Harp Performance, my goal was to be on the "business side of the arts". As this artist management agency's first hire at a critical make-or-break time of growth, I took on all operations to allow the CEO to focus solely on business development. My primary responsibilities included:- Serving as the liaison between presenters and musicians- Organizing 100+ contracts/concerts and associated travel each year- Managing the schedules and business activities of 20+ professional classical musiciansSkills I used included project management, fee negotiation, contract writing and negotiation, travel arrangement, visa applications, and the promotion and selling of roster artists at conferences.

Boosey & Hawkes is the world's largest classical music publisher. At this summer internship while in college, I authored a newsletter article, wrote and edited press releases, maintained a database of 10,000+ contacts, monitored media coverage, wrote website copy, prepared promotional materials for meetings, and organized press files dating back over 50 years.
