General Sales Assistant/Supervisor (Seasonal)
-
Feb 2012 - Sep 2020
As a general sales assistant/supervisor, I was extremely organised and outgoing in my role, working in a team to give the best customer experience possible for anyone visiting Fit Footwear Central. After officially working at this company for over 5 years (after a couple of years of volunteering for work experience), I learnt how to be versatile and professional in a sometimes stressful environment, especially in the last few weeks of the school holidays when we have lots of children in for school shoes! During these busy periods, I organised the queue with a list and a callback system for extremely busy times, which has been a very successful system to allow parents to not wait in the shop - instead, they could leave their number and head to other shops for their shopping before they receive a call from myself when we're on the customer two spaces ahead of them, in order to give plenty of time for them to come back. I primarily helped on the 'adult side' of the shop with providing detailed information on brands, fetching shoes for the customer whilst also tidying shoes away quickly. I was very efficient on the till, card machine and with enquiries over the phone. For baby's first shoes, I assisted the professional shoe fitter by helping distract the baby, and encouraging the parents when helping with their baby's first precious steps. Show less
