My role at RisCura broadly comprises of Investment advisory, consulting, Private equity valuation and due diligence roles (which are highlighted below). Investment advisory and consulting: • Business development and management for RisCura in Nigeria • Facilitating specialized training programs • Providing investments and risk management advice to clients in Nigeria; Pensions, Insurance and other fund managers Valuation and due diligence: • Providing independent investment valuations services to private equity funds • Preparing valuation reports for clients in the private equity industry and private debt market • Performing Due diligence projects and procedures across Africa I find these roles to be both challenging and motivating. Working with RisCura also provides me with an opportunity to explore my other capabilities which includes article writing. As my role keeps evolving, I stay positive and ready to take on the challenges while also celebrating the success of making businesses work in Africa and in particular; Lagos, Nigeria. Show less

Investment Analyst

I worked as an investment analyst at PalPensions where I conducted research on various sectors and economies (mostly SSA and Latin America countries) and was involved in the management of the retirement funds. I also carried out internal due diligence procedures on Private equity investments for the retirement funds. Over time, my role became more diverse as I took on business development projects and youth centered initiatives. I also contributed to the sustainable business projects at Pal and worked with senior management to develop an Eco-friendly workflow that was aimed at reducing paper usage around the Head-office. Some other experiences gained include working with the CFA society Nigeria as Secretary, CFA Advocacy Committee, where I developed the road map for the country adoption of GIPS in Nigeria. I was also opportuned to have been part of the team that ran the PAL financial literacy campaign in 2014 during which I developed and designed learning materials for kids between the ages of 7 and 11years. These experiences and a host of others not highlighted above have been very useful in my working relationships and provided a good background for my current role at RisCura as a Private Equity Analyst and Investment Advisor.
