  Took on the role of Co-President for MD Class of 2025 through student elections. Responsibilities include communication liaison between faculty and students, class representative of MD 2025 for the Aesculapian Student Society, the Pre-clerkship Curriculum Committee, the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, and the Student Clinical Electives Committee. Facilities student relationships with the faculty and managing all student concerns related the various program activities.

  Carried out a year long project under Dr. Darrell Mousseau. Studied the role and quantitive change of SHP1/2 (Protein Phosphates), AKt (Kinase) and GSK-3b (Kinase) within signalling pathways, more specifically their roles in regulating the hyperphosphorylation of Tau protein (a biomarker for Alzheimer's disease). Correlated region-specific changes in the expression of a major tyrosine phosphatase with the pathological phosphorylation of Tau protein in human autopsied Alzheimer brain samples. Implications showed a disruption of the phosphatase in the emergence of a core hallmark of Alzheimer disease. Included a full report, poster presentation and oral presentation. Skills learned include Western Blotting and Densitometry.
