Moira has recently moved out of her comfort zone of Senior IT Trainer to act up as Head of User Services. This is at a time of great uncertainty for her and her team. Despite this she has already made a major impact, giving a strong lead and painting a clear picture of how she wants her new area to develop over time.

My contact with Moira has been both as a colleague and as a trainee. Moira's knowledge of IT training and ability to pitch her training to her audience is superb. Moira has also drastically improved the IT department at Heriot-Watt's communication with their customers. Using a mixture of social media, email and timely updates to a website Moira has effectively communicated both her well planned training schedule and the wider messages from the IT department. Moira is professional, articulate, inteligent and approachable, and in my experience nothing a trainee / student asked was ever too much trouble for Moira.
