In this role, I investigate and assess technology and policy tools related to the development and deployment of low carbon transport fuels and manage the development of multi-institutional, interdisciplinary grant proposals. Senior Sustainability Engineer/ Scientist

I had been leading and contributed to several Energy, GHG emissions (scope 1, 2 and 3), Carbon accounting, and GHG emission reduction projects at Waste Valorization Engineering Group as a Senior Sustainability Engineer (2014-2020). In this role, a wide range of novel energy/ renewable energy technologies such as biofuels for transportation and bio-energies (including biogas), have been analyzed based on their techno-economic performance, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) (using SimaPro software and ISO 14000/14040/14064 ) through detailed process development, simulation (using Aspen Plus software) and economic analysis. Industrial energy/ exergy analysis, sensor network design, monitoring and optimization in collaboration with industrial partners such as Sasol, SMRI, and local municipalities were another vein of my activities.
