      For a week I worked as a real estate sales representative. However, I did not agree with the manner with which the company was selling their real estate. I put myself in my client’s shoes and what I saw was a company with a minuscule amount of digital existence handing out empty promises. Along with my resignation, I gave a note to my direct sales manager. In this note, I gave some advice under the heading “If You Really Want to Sell”. My advice was simple; build a website, connect with your audience on social media, and get closer to your customers. The CEO asked for a meeting, in which he offered me a job that I had no idea how to do! I began my journey there. I immersed myself in tutorials, I purchased a theme on WordPress, and I built a very basic website. Then, I started writing content, designing on Photoshop, using materials that I created myself using a basic camera. I placed ads on both Google and Facebook. Seeing the process and working through it myself made me feel proud. I was adding to the company and generating leads for it. To this day, I’m still consulting for this business that helped ignite this passion in me and gave me a career I could be proud of. Show less
