• To update Front Office on bed availability status. Ensure the bed is ready for occupany. Coordinate with housekeeping. • To escalate the matter if any deficiency is noticed. • Receiving the patient in the ICU and putting him/her on the bed comfortably. Self introduction to the patient and their attendants. • To cross verify the patient by I.P.Number, Name, Age and other information from the Case sheets. • Informing about the newly arrived patient to the Consultant, Duty Medical Officer and Dietician. • Check if it is Cash, Credit, Insurance and inform the concerned in respective department and ask about their approvals. • Appointment and Follow up of investigations advised by the Consultant. To ensure reports to reach in time. • Coordination with Nursing, Dietary, Billing, Insurance, Maintenance departments. • Coordinating the shifting of patients from Wards to ICU, ICU to OT, ICU to Cath- Lab. • To ensure hygiene and Cleanliness of the ICU is maintained. • Ensuring preparing of discharge summary one day prior to the discharge. • Guiding the patient attendant about the Discharge Process. • Collecting the patient feed back before the patient leaves the ICU. • Everyday meeting and reporting to Patient Care Head & Hospital Administrator. • Counselling of the patient/patient attender about Cath –Lab Procedure, Package Tariffs (Includes, Excludes, Extra Charges etc) • Posting the Cath-Lab Procedure by Coordinating with the Consultants, Technicians. • Video Counselling of the Procedure. • Request the patient attender to leave the place and direct them to the waiting lounge. • Introduction of the patient to the technician before the procedure. • Maintaining the appointment scheduling of Cath-Lab and informing the patient in case of any delay in the process of rescheduling. • Incase of Insurance & Credit cases, making sure approval has come for the procedure by coordinating with the Insurance department. • Incase of Insurance & Credit cases, Stickers & Packaging detail to be enclosed as proof in the case sheet for the stents/implants. • Coordinate with Biomedical department for equipment breakdown, maintenance. • Discharge planning to be done before process starts. • Inform patient about next appointment time in coordination with secretary and make arrangement for booking the slot. • Statistics reporting : Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. • Timely and appropriate communication to team members and Family. • Manage workload independently, prioritizes demands and problem solving effectively. • Training the Staff when required.
