• . Witnessing the preparation of test plates and destructive tests and verifying compliance with appropriate standards and specifications. • Verifying that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved welders are used in production. • Handle incoming material inspection, MVR, fit up, visual inspection and visual acceptance with client/3rd party • Evaluation of and preparation of inspection reports for the employer or the client. • Interpretation of the intent and ensuring the requirements of codes, standards and specifications are met. • Involved in WPS execution(PQR,PWQT,WQT) • Review the quality assurance procedures to identify / incorporate / propose improvements to instil the culture of continual improvement. • Manage audit(s) by external parties (e.g. clients & certification / regulatory bodies) in collaboration with the respective Business Units to ensure compliance to the auditors’ requirements timely and accurately. • Analyze and review the Quality reports e.g. audit result, Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Quality Action Notes (QAN) and Welding Performance to determine root cause of problems and to agree / recommend corrective / preventive actions. • Raise Request of Inspection and carry out inspection pertaining to related discipline as per ITP. Update remaining item/punch list status to Client • Liaise with client/third party for matters related to inspection and initiate discussion among project team •Develop Quality procedures e.g. Inspection and Test Plan, QA Plan and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as reference / guideline for the Project Team(s) in meeting the required standards / specifications according to contractual requirements with the objective of achieving customer satisfaction. •Identify Quality requirements through review of clients’ specifications, develop approach / techniques to meet requirements and ensure implementation throughout project execution.
