As part as his master research's work, I worked with Mohammed for the access control project. Mohammed is a solution oriented person with great communication skills, he successfully recruited and lead a team of developers. With a strong ownership and driving for result, he succeed to build up a concrete and useful solution. He always boosted the team for the best and challenged the choices that were made for good. Hope we'll work together again!

Mohammed was in charge of implementing an access control model (SGAC) for the clinical information system of the hospital network of Sherbrooke. He oversaw the design and implementation of the system. He also recruited an excellent development team and managed it throughout the project. Mohammed proved to be a dynamic, dedicated team leader and a careful software architect. He was a key element in the project's success. Mohammed is an entrepreneur in mind, excellent at building a good relationship with his peers and clients.

The main challenge was to design a new healthcare access control model and develop a solution that can be integrated to an existing EHR solution. I was part of a group of software engineers and interns who have developed this solution that manages patient wishes regarding access to their electronic health record (EHR). The development of this software has been achieved in the scope of a project with the Sherbrooke University Hospital, and thus has been adapted to take into account laws and regulations applicable in Québec and Canada, as they set bounds to patient wishes: under strictly defined contexts, patient consent can be overridden to protect his/her life.
