Duties and Responsibilities • Checking different insurance claim requests which receive from the doctors are correct or not. • Then all the documents are medically coded by coder and priced according to particular insurance agreed factor. • Sending approvals by using office tools like fax, mails and online registration depending on the insurance companies. • Followed by sending to respective insurance companies to get approvals to perform a service to patient in a mean time. • Assisting the patient by Taking verbal approvals in emergency. • Updating the information or status of approval by logging in excel sheet to avoid any pending. • Pending approvals request are being followed by insurance company to get an approval as soon as possible. • Coordinating with doctors and their assistant nurse for any queries and issues related to patients and their approval status. • After getting an approvals are being forwarded to doctors. Receiving calls from doctors, patients and other insurance company for answering the queries related to insurance and other details etc. • Further any re- approvals and revision of approvals are send to insurance companies • All credit claims of in and out-patients are received by the insurance department. • Statement, summary & report preparation of both in-patients and out-patients claims. • Preparation of reconciliation statement of claims • Reassessment of credit bills. • Providing source for smooth processing for reimbursement. • Report on status to accounts • Final preparation and checking of insurance credit bills and statement before dispatching to insurance companies • Putting the new insurance card policies, plans and other details related to insurance plans on the H.I.S(health insurance sector) • Coordinating with insurance companies for queries-policy, plans, requirements and others • Participation in Quality Department when invited • Any other tasks required by head of departments/hospital director. • Many more extra activities Show less
