  • Evaluate offset data before drilling. • Evaluate the stratigraphic sequence, confirming the formation tops and confirm the current drilling where and to where using cuttings, gas and wireline data. • Compare data gathered during drilling with the predictions previously made during the exploration stage. • Maintaining the quality control on the mud logging. • Doing file daily geological report with the operations & development geology by 6:00 am each morning and geological Mud Log update every 6 hours Daily. • Responsible for casing point selections at the rig site. • Maintaining the quality control on LWD (Logging while drilling) and wireline logging. • Interpret reservoir and fluids from data. ---Operational Responsibilities: • Following up the field operations from the office. • Confirming the formation tops. • Collecting the drilling, geological, logging and petrophysical data of each well during and after drilling. • Doing the composite log for each drilled well. • Doing the final geological Report at TD for each drilled well compiling all drilling, geological, logging and petrophysical data. • Responsible for making tenders. • Doing the scout reports, the monthly reports and the annual reports. • Attending scout meetings & general assembly meetings. ---Petrophysical Responsibilities: • Designs and executes logging programs (types of logs, intervals) for specific exploration activities in order to gather appropriate and high quality data ready for analysis. • Supervises wire-line logging and other petrophysical data acquisition to ensure the safe and smooth operation and quality of data production. • Review historical logging data and perform petrophysical interpretation of individual wells. • Identify Oil or Gas zones and formation water invasion, define which zone is interested and can be perforated to produce Oil or Gas or not. • Propose target zone for new well drilling.
