  I am currently working with the Hudson group at the department of chemistry. As part of my thesis, I am synthesizing an anti-viral produg (nucleotide analogue) that is predicted to inhibit RNA dependent RNA polymerases (RdRp) from viruses with positive-sense RNA genomes, such as SARS-CoV-2 and its relative Hep C that has a similar RdRp .

  I was working with the Shilton group for 3 months on the enzyme NQO2. I was studying its binding affinity to primaquine, chloroquine, and sunitinib. These experiments were performed by fluorescence titration were the concentration of NQO2 was kept constant while adding different concentrations of ligand. These experiments helped in obtaining dissociation constants (KD) and it illustrated the affinity of NQO2 to these ligands.
