Accomplishment: • Setup Microsoft Hyper-V environment to migrate physical server into virtual machine and retire the old server. • Setup Veaam backup solution to backup entire data center to disk and tape drive. • Migrating web application from Windows server 2000/2003/2008 to a Windows Server 2012 R2. • Setup a load balancer environment using KEMP Load Master appliance to ensure all application server is running in HA mode. • Setup all server that has an iDRAC port with a private network that enable server administrators to manage/troubleshoot the server without need to go to data center physically. • Setup a Hyper-V Failover cluster between site that are able to support each other in the event of one site totally down, the virtual machine can migrate to the other site automatically. Main Responsibility: • Install, configure and maintain Windows Server to application owner. • Periodically perform windows update patches to ensure all server is up to date and is protected from external attack such as viruses and ransomware. • Make sure all the server hardware is working fine and replace any bad component to avoid downtime to the server. • Coordinate with other team member to resolve any issue raise by user and solved it as fast as possible to avoid minimal losses to the company. • Managing all the assets related to server and ensure everything is recorded. • Configure and maintain SAN Storage and SAN Switch. • Manage backup solution to ensure all server is being backup to disk and to tape and generate report every day to the management. • Handle file server to ensure the server is performing well to serve entire plant wide user and ensure replication between DC and BCC server is not interrupted. • Monitor server health and performance using monitoring software and doing preventive active whenever a server reaches certain threshold.
