Mirza Masroor Ahmed Murad

The aviation world is changing so does its rules and regulations. FAA and EASA formulated a myriad of rules/regulations to facilitate a safe and holistic growth of world aviation. The aviation sector of Bangladesh also need to evolve and develop in commensurate with international regulatory changes. CAAB is trying hard in that regard and Mr. Azam is one of the pioneer personnel to accomplish such aspirations. To my knowledge Mr. Mohammad Shafiul azam is one of very few personnel in Bangladesh who has the appropriate knowledge, experience and keenness to facilitate regulatory aspects and also mitigate any conundrums related to adoption of standards. I was fortunate to have met him while he was a student of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course. The affinity and performance he showed while undergoing the AME course was exemplary. Later i found him frequently as an CAAB part 147 auditor overseeing my training centre. The approach and method Mr. Mohammad Shafiul azam followed to materialize desired standard is of superior quality. Under his leadership and initial audit Bangladesh became proud to have the 2nd CAAB part 147 approved training facility i.e.The Airmen Training Institute(ATI). I am so happy for him to become only the 2nd person in south asian countries to be affiliated to UN as international aviation expert. The hardship he went through (i.e. written, oral test, experience verification) was a great sacrifice for the sake of country. The recent achievement by Mr. Azam regarding formulation and compilation of ANO(AOC) and subsequent gazette was another milestone for Bangladesh's aviation sector. I hope his thinking and performance would continue to shine in the days to come.

Mr. Shafiul is an airworthiness expert. He is working for Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh. He has also achieved aircraft inspection approval from ICAO. I know him very well. He works hard to get any achievements.
