Most recently I worked on the ‘1 Year To Go’ Expo 2020 event at the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, I was on-site in an overnight role managing the third party movement on site, being particularly aware of the sites sensitivities, I worked closely with the Imagination team and the Louvre operations team to ensure the event ran smoothly when it was live and coordinate with them throughout. During March 2019 I worked with the team at Event Lab to support the delivery of the Abu Dhabi Special Olympics 2019 which was immediately followed by Mother of the Nation Festival. I was location manager for both projects and was part of the event from planning through to delivery. Working on the Special Olympics I was the lead contact for staffing and production at Zayed Sports City but I also supported the teams at the other sites. I was part of the planning and recruitment of over 1000 staff and when the event was live I was the lead contact who led and managed the busiest venue for the event, My role was diverse as I not only worked with the ground staff but I also supported the production and technical team, I had a constant overview of what was happening on-site and facilitated all staff and contractor movement. I then worked on the Mother of the Nation Festival and again managed the venue and staff allowing me to cover all areas of site management.

Site manager in Dubai for the RTA EXPO 2020. I had to source and contract suppliers before the work on-site could begin, I also manage and facilitate movement around the site and oversee day to day operations. I am a key contact for third party suppliers and work closely with the production coordinator to ensure the site build is running to schedule. I work with the project manager to ensure the site is fit for purpose, this includes H&S surveys, branding is correct, staff management, logistical operations and vital site management. Working on such a high profile event has given me the opportunity to showcase my planning, organizing and problem- solving skills.

I have worked with Event box in various positions, As site manager for the Nickelodeon Expo we had a lot of different suppliers on-site and my role was to oversee all them working in different areas including infrastructure and staff management, I facilitated the construction of the site and was the main contact for any queries, I also had to ensure the site was built to the highest standards and in-keeping within the budget. I worked again with Event box as a stage manager, my role for this position was supervising the construction of large scale staging in multiple malls in Abu Dhabi which meant working closely with various teams in different locations, when the event was live I had to ensure all the shows ran to time, liaise with Front of House, Box office, Actors and support the technical team. I was also in charge of scheduling rehearsals and coordinating the stage crew. This position required me to be quick thinking and flexible as live theatre can be quite challenging!

Working on ‘Abu Dhabi Through Your Eyes” competition I was in charge of booking and facilitating photography workshops in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. I worked closely with suppliers and supported the delivery of the event. As my role was split I used my strong communication and team-leading skills to keep momentum at its highest during the event and kept the team on both sites up to date.
