I know Mohammad Atif since my M.Tech days in IIT Kanpur. He was the President of our Hall of Residence (Hall - 8) at that time. He was very sincere, responsible, approachable, helpful and a very good leader during his tenure. Apart from these leadership qualities, he has been very hard working, soft spoken, and very patient in handling his work and people simultaneously. His biggest strength is his networking and PR skills in his field. I wish him all the success for all future endeavors.

Mohammad Atif was the president of Hall of Residence VIII but I knew him when I was in first semester of my MTech at IITK (July,2008-Jan 2009). He was an excellent president as he and his team used to manage everything so smoothly and issues if any were resolved so nicely that the majority of resident never had complains about functioning of various heads under Atif. I remember that library, TV room and Sports room were always open during the scheduled time. We had problem with the canteen and it was resolved within a month.we had the best mess facilities with wide range of food item during his tenure which I missed after completion of his tenure. Overall, he was an good president who genuinely looked into problems and tried to solve the same within a time limit.

As a part of Molecular Biology group, I was involved in setting up of in vitro and mammalian tissue culture based assays for high throughput screening. It involved cloning and expression of therapeutic target genes (their domains or promoters) in human cell-lines, setting-up of fluorescence, luminescence or radio-isotope based reporter assays that can be adapted for medium throughput screening or integrated with high throughput platforms.
