      The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC) is the official entity responsible for the energy efficiency efforts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the mission to improve the efficiency of domestic energy consumption.As part of SEEC mandate, SEEC is launching an initiative to improve the energy efficiency in the utilities sector with a focus on Power Generation, Electricity Transmission & Distribution and Water Desalination. The initiative’s objective is to develop a comprehensive regulatory framework that will enable the utilities sector to improve its energy efficiency. Leading and participating in the following tasks & accomplishments:- Developed in-depth database on locally & internationally adopted benchmarks for energy efficiency levels.- Leading the KPIs selection process for the utility sector in coordination with all relevant entities.- Leading in gathering data on local and international best practices and conduct simple & complex assessments related to those best practices in EE.- Leading for data validation process by different communications and tools such as: (EE audit, Site visit, Automated software…etc.).- Heavily communication and coordination with all power generation & cogeneration companies in order to establish EE baseline and benchmark.- Heavily participating to find benchmarks related to regulations, standards and best practices in energy efficiency.- Participating in workshops with utility companies and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in order to mobilize the sector toward EE best practices.- Continues engagement and coordination with all relevant governmental entities in order to have alignment on any outcome that serving EE improvement.- Participating in technical consultants’ companies recruiting and hiring process such as: (Request for Proposal, evaluations, Interviews…etc.).
