Project Officer (Planning & Monitoring) Reporting to National Technical Advisor, UN-Habitat The WASSER Project is a partnership between city of Munich, Germany,Batticaloa Municipal Council, Kalmunai Municipal Council and the NGO EMAS International to provide water and sanitation facilities and to setup an Environmental Management Information System funded by European union. Duties and Responsibilities: -Select the appropriate techniques and sequence of works that enables a proper plan for the projects. -Arrange preparation files for master schedule including resources plan. -Arranging time schedules by using Primavera planning software. -Monitoring for updates schedule along with allocated resources and budget. -Arranging files for follow up reports (Weekly, Bi-Weekly, and Monthly Reports) for International monitoring Agencies and Top Management. -Arrange mitigation plan for the project during execution stage if it deviated out of the Baseline Schedule, Cost and Quality to support program delivery on time. -Prepare cash flow and cost control reports over the duration of the project. -Correspondence regarding all Project works -Control and maintenance of the assets -Coordinating with the Finance Department to ensure that the payments procedures are being correctly followed. -Assist in the development and delivery of training within Project work packages -Organization of meetings and events associated with project, taking and recording minutes -Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports. -Field visits to the project sites and beneficiaries, in order to monitor progress of the project activities. -Attend the quarterly progress meetings with delegates of European Union and European commission.
