Trade Operations / Trade Finance: •Liaising with Trade Finance Department in various Banks locally & overseas for documents negotiation under Export LCs for sales and opening Import LCs for purchase based on contracts. •Preparing Import L/C applications and arranging Issuance of Import LCs against our purchase contracts and / or Export LCs received (B2B) •Scrutinizing documentary credits (Import) and making for suitable amendments if any requested by supplier to ensure the LC is fully workable in our favor and supplier's favor conversant with UCP DC 600, ICC URR and ISBP standards. •Releasing L/C payments, amendments to L/C’s, cancellations etc. •Arranging payments to the Suppliers with effective utilization of Import finance from banks using facilities like TR, L/C, over drafts, Bill discounting, L/C discounting etc. •Check all export LC drafts received from the buyers /Traders against the Sales Contracts prior to issuance of the same in order to assess the workability of the LC •Request for release of sales orders against the issued LCs in line with the delivery schedules •Follow up with execution team in document preparation under the Export LCs / Back to Back LCs •Responsible for checking all export documents prepared by Execution Team prior to submitting to the banks for negotiation/discounting and ensure of clean document presentation •Liaison with the bank for pricing for export document negotiations / discounting for Usance bills •Follow up for the payments / acceptance of Usance documents negotiated/presented. •Documentation executive with knowledge in Letters of Credit (UCP 600) and other bank documentation. •Executing export documentation such as under letters of credit, shipping guarantees, and import/export bills. •Intimating the finance and execution departments so as to make arrangements for shipments.
