  I'm currently responsible for overseeing the technical and routine maintenance of Council's security and city safety infrastructure and systems including CCTV, Intercoms, Access controls and alarms, providing support for all these systems, consulting on new projects, aswell as routine maintenance and escalating all repairs to Council's nominated contractors where required, while in this position I also oversee and implement routine testing of security equipment and supervise Council's security contractors as required, in addition to this I also: • Managing multiple council new and refurbished buildings to incorporate security in the build process • Contribute to the planning and development of Council's Citysafe CCTV network, including expansion of Council's optic fibre network. • Ensure all servers, workstations, and software are maintained and up to date with all firmware and software upgrades and patches applied by allocating the right team member for every job • Work with Council's cyber security team to ensure that cyber security best practice is applied to security and CCTV systems. • Manage external contractors and integrators engaged in providing CCTV and electronic security services. • Developed a program to manage and evaluate performance of security assets and systems to ensure best practise of maintenance and replacement and of council security products • Contribute to the development of standards and guidelines for the design, purchase, installation, use and maintenance of all security products • Implement and maintain a security assets management system to manage Council's security and CCTV assets across all sites. Conduct regular audits. • Contribute to the financial management of the unit by providing advice regarding asset lifecycles and forecasting, capital expenditure and licensing requirements for both software and hardware. • Monitor all council security assets through automated monitoring systems Show less
