As the COO at the BBL Distribution Inc., I oversaw $25M operations in collaboration with the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program. Some of the challenges that I inherited here included high shipping costs, lack of a marketing structure, weak communication channels, fractured HR system, and recurring legal costs. To address these challenges, I built strategic networks with vendors, stakeholders, and customers, transitioned to cost-effective shipping and legal resources, and implemented new marketing and HR structures including shifting from daily-wage to salaried employees. My other key initiative here included expanding the business scope to keep up with changing federal policies. For this purpose, I diversified the product base. As a result of my initiatives, I was able to increase revenue by $1.8M in record 1 year. Show less
