As Development Operations Manager, I oversee all data management for Seattle Opera's Development team. I work closely with our CRM database administrator to ensure that automated updates to membership and solicitation data are kept accurate for over 5,000 donor accounts. I collaborate with our Finance team to ensure donations are processed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and assist with our company's yearly audit. I also manage the Development team's budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring all department expenses and ensuring they are properly coded to the general ledger. A large part of my role is providing data analytics to guide and measure fundraising strategy. I use Excel PowerQuery and Power Pivot extensively for data discovery, predictive modeling, and to monitor data hygiene. I am constantly looking for new ways to increase revenue through technology and improved efficiency. For our 2016 annual fundraising gala, I helped implement Seattle Opera's first use of mobile auction bidding with great success. I have also helped adopt the use of Confluence to manage our vast array of departmental processes and procedures.

    • Financial Services Coordinator
      • Jul 2012 - Aug 2015

As Financial Services Coordinator, I was responsible for entering a high volume of donations into the Tessitura CRM database, as well as generating donor tax acknowledgements for every donation received. In my role, I managed most of the frontline transaction-related processes for the Development department, including pledge invoicing, matching gift approvals, stock transfers, and year-end tax summaries. Additionally, I prepared all department payables for approval routing and performed a quarterly expense reconciliation.
