Melanie Hildebrandt - Harrison is the best kind of business leader, she's always striving to improve herself both personally and professionally. I had the privilege to work along side Mel during our time in London starting in early 2005, rolling out a Global SAP financial platform to all our EMEA Sony Pictures Entertainment business units. Initially, Mel worked with me & my team as an IBM consultant, later she came on full time as my IT Director, leading & supporting all the IT financial activities over 17+ EMEA territories. Melanie is an IT practitioner of the very best kind, she's an expert at delivering business & technology results; identifying and avoiding technical and organizational pitfalls, leading her folks with strength, empathy, compassion, truth, mentorship and vision. She brings strategic thought and a pragmatic "let's get this project done" to every initiative she champions. Melanie's executive & industry stature has flourished since moving to the states in 2010, her involvement and impact across the entertainment space has been impressive, she now holds an SVP title at SPE, she is the fundraising chair for the STEM Advantage non-profit, as well as her mentorship work in Advancing Women in Technology (AWT), were she was selected as one of the 2015 Outstanding Women Executives in Technology. Melanie’s international and domestic experience in leading global IT programs, projects and organizations, her people leadership skills, her technical breadth, and most of all her passion to develop the next generation of leaders makes her an extraordinary business & technology executive.

I've worked with Melanie in two capacities - one as my personal career mentor, and the other in my role as the Co-Chair of the Women in Technology team, with Melanie as our Corporate Sponsor. Melanie is an extraordinary leader, and I've been honored to work with her. In her role as our Corporate Sponsor, she empowered us to be independent leaders and provided us support in countless ways. Whether it was to open corporate doors and use her organizational pull to push an initiative forward, or to give us her personal time by running Reading Circles and events centered towards the betterment of women in the workplace. Melanie was 110% committed - she didn't just lend her name to the group, she was actually and fully involved. Because of this, we were able to create a sense of community with the Women in Tech group - suddenly our participation and engagement increased drastically. As my personal mentor, Melanie is kind enough to continue giving me her time and guidance even though I'm no longer employed at Sony with her. She’s spent time coaching me, particularly when important career decisions were on the table. I’m forever grateful to her!
