Architecting a software as a service project (SaaS). Most of the existing applications are thick client applications, and therefore needed for a way for delivery to the customers beside in-house deployments. Lots of delivery solutions were evaluated such as Citrix and 2X, but at the end the decision was made to go with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services on Windows Server 2008 R2 with the focus on virtualizing as much as possible to cut down on cost and keep things as efficient and lean as possible.
