      -Undertake research in computational fluid dynamics of microstirring processes under the supervision of a senior lecturer.-Responsibilities included familiarisation of the COMSOL software from beginner level to modelling a microstirring process using the software.-Successfully presented my findings to a SURF panel upon completion of the summer placement showing the effectiveness of miniaturised stirrers using animations of solutions achieved using COMSOL.-I had to use my problem solving skills and skills acquired in my process control module to be able to explore the use of computational fluid dynamics in stirring processes.
