  -Undertake research in computational fluid dynamics of microstirring processes under the supervision of a senior lecturer.-Responsibilities included familiarisation of the COMSOL software from beginner level to modelling a microstirring process using the software.-Successfully presented my findings to a SURF panel upon completion of the summer placement showing the effectiveness of miniaturised stirrers using animations of solutions achieved using COMSOL.-I had to use my problem solving skills and skills acquired in my process control module to be able to explore the use of computational fluid dynamics in stirring processes.

  Successfully completed a week long Introneering Project at Nylacast's Training Academy. I worked in a team in the designing and supervised making of a crane model following the technical education on the product technology, research and material science behind the making of Nylacast's polymers. I experinced the industry sector of engineering by observing highly skilled and experinced engineers assigned to different roles, such as Health and Safty Engineers, in the manufacturing of a product specific to an applcation and the customer's requirements.
