Brachytherapy is a procedure to implant radioactive materials into a cancer-affected organ. Placing the implants is a demanding task. To increase the visibility during this process I am using machine learning strategies (CNNs, LSTMs, GANs, transfer learning) to register multi-modal images - in this case MRI and ultrasound - to support the surgeons who are performing the procedure.
