Miriam has an incredible balance of depth and customer awareness. She brings valuable considerations into play, asks questions that uncover insights, and has audience empathy top of mind. I had the pleasure of working with Miriam on multiple projects and appreciated every contribution she made.

I was struggling with my master’s thesis and needed help. I was directed to Miriam. I contacted her and explained that I had a very short time (6 days) to revamp, fix, and at times, re-write sections of my 200 page thesis. Miriam was amazing. We talked about my needs, my schedule, the format style (MLA) and what I specifically needed from her. We worked for many hours a day together and she worked even more hours on her own to help fix and copy edit my pages. Amazingly, we were done in less than 6 days and she was so great to work with. My thesis was re-submitted and I was congratulated on how well it all came together by my thesis committee. I fully recommend Miriam’s services to anyone who needs a professional editor. I fully believe she could help edit anything that she was given.

iOS14 hobbled e-commerce. We're fixing that. I get to work with two of the smartest, grittiest people I know to build a product that will help the e-commerce companies that make up a huge part of the economy thrive. iOS14 hobbled e-commerce. Physicians reliably make good money, but they go into hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt and years of study to get there. In all their years of training, they don't get a single hour of financial education. We're changing that. I'm honored to be heading up the design and development of a product that will help new physicians and medical students make a plan to get out of debt and become financially independent so they can focus on their craft and take care of the rest of us. I split my time as an intern, then a fellow with University Impact sourcing deals, determining whether the impact a given company makes matches both University Impact's and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals' priorities, and performing research and consulting projects for companies and organizations, both prior to and after investments. In Feb. 2018, my research was read on the Utah Senate and House of Representatives floor in the form of a bill to legalize industrial hemp, which we provided to help the local economy switch away from dependence on a non-sustainable industry (coal) and towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly one. The bill passed. A similar bill is now being discussed at the national level. I also created an in-house style guide and headed recruiting efforts for the summer of 2018. Show less

As co-vice president, I sit on the executive council of the BYU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi and represent the student body. I also formed committees of Phi Kappa Phi students to carry out regular professional development and service projects. Our chapter applied for and was awarded a literacy grant from the national society in order to support local literacy efforts. We have also conducted two large-scale service projects that gave necessities to incoming refugees (November 2016) and provided school supplies to children in a single school district in Houston who were made homeless by Hurricane Harvey (November 2017). I joined SkyTech Robotics early on during a hectic week of aesthetic need. I lent my design skills, organizational neuroticism, and devil's advocacy to the design of a window washing drone, taking my team to a thrilling (and failed) Y Combinator interview. This startup didn't get past the product phase, but boy, was it fun. I joined SkyTech Robotics early on during a hectic week of aesthetic need. I worked under Tim Sloan and Ryan Jespersen to design and execute a worldwide assessment of the effectiveness of the Self-Reliance Initiative. My team and I produced fourteen reports on the fourteen regions of the world that consisted of the survey results from the hundreds of Self-Reliance participants we communicated with. Our assessments were presented to the general authorities presiding over Self-Reliance prior to their in-field assessments.

As it is replacing the programs run by LDS Employment, LDS Self-Reliance Services has had need of evaluation and aid in implementation. I lived in Lima, Peru for three months to worth with three local managers. I trained them in the new program then worked with them to train other local leaders. I visited and evaluated individual workshops, giving facilitators feedback on their performance.I also trained local service missionaries about the use of the ldsjobs website and recorded individuals' experiences with the program.
