I got the opportunity to participate in the USC Viterbi's Summer High School Intensive in Next-Generation Engineering (SHINE) program, which introduced me to ways Engineering Research can help analyze real-world problems. I worked in Professor Smith's environmental research lab with high school peers and 3 Ph.D. students on studying antibiotic resistance genes. More can be found on my padlet!
