Bio
Stephen Gill
It is very close to 10 years ago that Miriam took over as Secretary of the Institute of Refrigeration from Malcolm Horlick. Malcolm was always going to be a tough act to follow but Miriam has made the job her own and become the backbone of this illustrious professional body. The Industry has undergone huge changes in the past few years but Miriam has always been well informed and central to the Award winning activities of this dynamic Institute Always professional, reliable, polite and courteous, she is continuously proactive in supporting the Institute in achieving its aims and objectives. Miriam is also sociable and approachable, two very important qualities for a Secretary of a Membership Society. I have been a member of the Institute throughout this period and have worked with Miriam on several committees as well as on the Executive Council. She is always well organised whilst accommodating and understanding to the problems and demands of the volunteers. In addition to her work as Secretary of the IoR, she is also the Secretary of ACRIB (The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board) which involves being right at the heart of issues facing the industry today. A role in which she excels. Always a pleasure to work, Miriam is a great asset to the industry and its members.
