I have had the pleasure to mentor and to manage Miriam directly for several external IT audit engagements, during our employment at KPMG. Throughout the time-span, Miriam was one of the most reliable and responsible junior team members I have collaborated with, while I was in-charge senior. Her patience, attention to detail, ethics principles and curiosity to gain more knowledge of auditing process, ensured that our projects were always delivered on time and with high-standard quality of work performed. Miriam performed information system audits in different industry specializations (such as retail markets, automotive, insurance, power and utilities) by assessing IT risks and controls, policies and procedures, including general controls environment and automated controls embedded within information systems environment, as part of external audit engagements. She added value to every project without the need for extensive supervision. During the times when we had to deal with client difficulties or with increased task flows, Miriam’s efficiency allowed tasks to always be accurate and successful, by proactively raising issues to improve effective team working. In addition, she always communicated in a professional, straightforward and effective manner with our clients, regularly updating them and sharing progress.
