I have the distinct pleasure of working with Miriam at Portibi Applied Learning School. Her kind approachable manner and the attention to detail and professional way she attends to her duties are to be commended. She is real pleasure to work with.

I worked closely with Miriam on different projects during her time on Doyobi's product team. Her school teaching experience has helped with various areas of our work. During her time here, she improved upon our existing course content, created fun and meaningful learning experiences, and facilitated live online sessions with students ages 8 to 15. When designing new learning experiences, Miriam is enthusiastic and proactive. She vocalises and documents her thoughts very clearly, which made it easy for us to build upon one another's ideas and made our working sessions very fruitful. Miriam is also adaptable and resilient. When she was the newest member of the team, she was able to pick up the tools we used quickly and independently. Despite being in different time zones from the rest of the team, she was able to organise her time and prioritise her tasks, enabling her to meet tight project timelines. The most notable thing about Miriam is that she is very approachable and never fails to lift the energy of the room she's in. This was consistently demonstrated in internal team meetings, as well as live classes with students. She also takes a lot of initiative, often offering to help other team members out when they seem to be overwhelmed. Working with Miriam was a wonderful experience that brought me great joy. I have no doubt she will be a great asset to the next team she joins.

A homeschool setup with a small group of students and two teachers that was set up as an alternative to online school. My students are Grade 1, 4-5, and 7-8 and I teach them their core subjects. Our setup gives space to also teach them skills that a regular school setup would not focus on, and allows us to have a more hands-on approach to learning. I provided English language support to EAL students. My role developed to include teaching a wider range of literacy skills in grammar and vocabulary. I also started a weekly after-school club for higher ability students to practice their English skills in a more fun and realistic setup outside the classroom.
