    • Research Assistant
      • Sep 2011 - May 2015

As a research assistant in the Department of Comparative Literature, I was responsible for proofreading the draft of a faculty member's future book publication for both grammatical errors and content. I also created a bibliography of all the scholarly sources referenced in the book. Another part of my job was to make an occasional trip to the Lilly Library and flip through some rare editions of Homer or Tasso and transcribe passages that the faculty member needed for an article or paper. Sometimes these passages were in medieval Italian. I performed secondary literature searches to help the faculty member prepare her readings for a new article. In short, my responsibilities required an extreme attention to detail, patience, heavy loads of reading and writing, and excellent communication skills.
