Development of logistics projects, specially for OOG, H/H cargo, but also ro-ro units and conventional, containerised units. The process starts with case study and quotation and follows with transportation arrangements and shipnent monitoring. Vehicle logistics consist in planning the shipment of new cars specially to and from the port of Barcelona. I’m also in charge of dealing with the shipment of special, non conventional wheeled or tracked units and pieces of equipment, such as used unique cars or sets of new trucks, buses, trailers and machinery.

      • Apr 2017 - Nov 2017

My duties consist in making all necessary arrangements before, during and after a cruise ship's call in the port of Barcelona. Prior work include requesting the berth along with booking all complimentary services such as water and bunker supply, garbage and sludge disposal, and stevedoring for provisioning, among others. Also applying for all permissions required for the ship to berth and to perform certain maintenance or emergency drills while in port. We are also middlemen between the ship or the shipping company and the Port Authority, the terminal operator, Immigration and Customs. For joining and leaving crew members, we arrange transportation, accommodation in town, medical appointments and visa applications. Upon ship's arrival, we negotiate her clearance with police officials. During the stay in port, the vessel requires permanent supervision of the supplying operations, crew transfers, etc. We also deal with unforeseen requirements, specially medical emergencies or unexpected disembarkations. After the call, we share the call reports with the corresponding maritime company and authorities. For the landed cargo, we manage customs declarations and send the items to their final destination. And last, it is also our duty to gather all services' costs and to invoice the maritime company for them.
