  • Assisted in Dr. Chris Ray’s research, National Science Foundation funding DEB-1637686 (2017-2022), the first long-term and spatially extensive study to evaluate the hypothesized links between local climate and individual mortality or indicators of physiological stress in the American pika• Sampled and tagged pikas at Niwot Ridge, Long Lake, and Mitchell Lake, by setting up Tomahawk wire mesh live traps (Model 201) sized for chipmunks, checking traps every 2 hours, and handling captured pikas within 10 to 30 minutes• Conducted sexing and demographic assessment on pikas
