  Software QA consultant for companies across the Twin Cities Metro area. I test a company's developing software according to the business requirements to find any defects that goes against the requirements. The found defects are written in detail in order to effectively communicate to the developers what the problem is and what is expected from the business. The testing cycle happens over and over until the software is deemed ready for production.Skills Acquired:SQL Query writing and execution: Used to access database to find specific information to execute test cases with. HP Quality Center: Used to organize all test cases which includes specific test cases to test the requirements with the software.Lifeworks: Used to manage billing and benefit changes for the client's members. Informatica: Used to push information or data into the data warehouse.Tested new General Ledger system for the company. Found many defects and turned them over to the developers to fix and retest. GL system is now in production working as expected.   Help desk support for the salon's stylists with the new POS rollout across the country and Puerto Rico. I listen to the occurring problems that the stylists are experiencing and come up with steps to help walk them through the troubleshoot to bring the POS back to functional. Many of the troubleshooting deals with the salon's network connectivity, POS walk-through, receipt printer problems and ordering new replacements. I log every call that comes in with detail in the shortest amount of time to be able to keep the calls on queue the lowest. I effectively translate the I.T. vocabulary to the terms that the stylists understand in order to effectively solve the current issue. I also communicate with other departments in order to resolve any problems that I cannot resolve by myself. Skills Acquired: HEAT Plus Knowledge: Software used to organize and find troubleshooting steps for every issue that has been reported and how to solve them.
