Assistant Organic Manager
-
Sep 1989 - Apr 2023
During my long and impactful tenure here, I have held multiple roles with varying responsibilities and have always excelled at all of them. Assistant Organic Manager I actively coordinated priority work assignments through LIMS to ensure punctual delivery and performed problem-solving at a managerial level to rectify laboratory issues. I deftly performed final data approval and updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clarity and conformance to EPA and DEP methods. In addition, I reviewed criteria in quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) and the Department of Defense quality system manual (DOD QSM) to establish program codes and laboratory bench notes. I skillfully developed an international data processing team, located in the Philippines, to improve data release efficiency and cost savings. I also communicated with other departments to solve outstanding issues to expedite data release. I quickly responded to client data inquiries. I also hosted auditors, led responses for the corrective actions in conjunction with quality assurance and performed follow up trainings. I expertly trained organic analysts and monitored analysts’ documentation of understanding (DOU) and documentation of capability (DOC). Report Generation Supervisor I diligently performed a final review of data reports and data quality checks. I effectively communicated with the laboratory to solve issues. Organic Chemist I deftly performed analytical analysis on soil, aqueous and air samples by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) instruments: Agilent HP 6890 and 7890; Agilent MSD 5973 and 5975. I performed the routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. I also performed limit of detection study and analysis of proficiency testing samples. Metal Analyst I performed sample preparation and CLP protocol AA/Emission analysis with the following instruments: Perkin-Elmer 1100B Flame, 5100 PC Furnace, Leeman Labs ICP 2.5. Show less
