As an instructor of 20 English speaking undergraduate students, I taught comprehensive college level Elementary Chinese, developed an curriculum, assessments, and lesson plans. I used multimedia tools to provide visuals and audios to students in order to suit different learning styles. I also developed extra curriculum cultural activities such as Calligraphy Experience Day. I taught intermediate Chinese class of 3-5 undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on language form drills with the provision of appropriate contexts and discussion topics; conducted teacher-student one-on-one sessions for students to practice listening and speaking skills on a daily basis; organized real context teaching sessions outside of class-Chinese Table to enhance and motivate students’ learning twice a week. I participated actively in deciding curriculum and dynamically in extra-curricular activities such as Visiting Yinshan Pagoda Forest with students. I received excellent student evaluations.
