I joined The Room (formerly The Influence Room) for my University Placement Year (June 2017-Sept 2018), where at the end of the year I was asked to continue to work during my Final Year at university on a part-time basis (Sept 2018 - Sept 2019). During my Placement and beyond, I worked closely with the founders helping to grow the start-up in terms of it's Social Media presence, customer base, and general awareness of the brand. My role as Campaign Manager provided me with the opportunity to work with brands and talent developing relationships. My creative skills were utilised in the Social Media element of my role. I was instrumental in upping the brand's presence online and therefore marketing through our owned channels. Additionally, I was highly involved in the development of the site, including the UX and the aesthetic design of the platform. Show less

At The Royal Oak Pub I have been responsible for the entire pub, being left frequently to run the pub alone. I have been able to build confidence and communicate with a variety of people. Dealing with challenging customers is also part of the job, which was difficult at first however I am now able to defuse a situation that is often fuelled with alcohol should the occasion arise where I should need to. Additionally pressure is part of the job, with large parties coming in. Further giving me the tools to perform and complete jobs under pressure. Show less
