Provided production support for four large oil and gas companies using our software. Part of a project team tasked with the design and development of additional functionality for a small Risk Management package. Resolved any customer issues reported for that package as well as our trading software (GASMAN) and gathering / transportation software (GTS). Was required to perform the technical design and development for enhancements to each system. Achieved a level of system stability where only one customer had reported any issues in the last two months. Technologies utilized were PowerBuilder 7.0, Sybase SQL Server. Performed technical design and database design for a customer issue tracking system developed in-house. This system, the Customer Care Toolkit, was developed using the C sharp and the .Net framework. Worked with potential users of the system to capture their data and properly identify required screens and reports. Milestones for the project were maintained using MS Project. Show less

Assumed responsibility for completion of the implementation of two large software packages: Sungard's Epsilon and Altra's GMS (now Caminus) both with an Oracle v8.1.7 backend. Worked closely with both vendors to ensure that deliverables were met and did extensive gap analysis to identify the absence of any desired functionality. Wrote several triggers and stored procedures using PL/SQL to populate five audit tables for reporting purposes, as the Caminus product was lacking some audit capability. Wrote several MS Access macros to address several user-reporting needs. Worked with the Chief Risk Officer to put together a MS PowerPoint presentation outlining the total project timeline from it's beginning to the present and detailing significant events. Show less

Dramatically improved the marketability of two fairly immature software products through extensive design and development. Participated in the implementation of a Risk Management software package at a client site. This involved the design and development of several enhancements to the product using PowerBuilder 4.0 with a Sybase, SQL Server 7.0 backend. The customer was highly dissatisfied prior to my involvement. Upon completion of the implementation, the product went into production and the client enthusiastically agreed to serve as a reference. ESI took on a twenty-day implementation of a single pipeline gathering system using PowerBuilder 7.0 and MS SQL Server 7.0.Designed and built the Nominations, Confirmations, and Allocations process with functional input from two of our team members. Provided an end result of a fully functional Gas Transportation / Gathering system that ESI is now marketing to several gas companies in South America. Show less

Responsible for completion of four large SQR reports. Completion of this task involved extensive interaction with three user groups to collect requirements, gathering feedback on work to date, and obtaining signoff on different phases of development. Each report required considerable testing and entry of large volumes of test data. During downtime while issues were being resolved, began making bug fixes to the client's PowerBuilder 5.0 application. This involved being assigned a TPR (problem report) and addressing it before being assigned another one. Show less
