A small team working on research about how to facilitate the creation and enhance the contribution of energy cooperatives to a just energy transition. Later we will present our findings on this topic in a policy report to be finalised in March or April 2022. This policy report will be shared and discussed with EU and national officials, academics, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders during the annual 89 Initiative and the 89 Netherlands/Studio Europa policy conferences. In my position at WeCare I was responsible for communication with other parties. I met with possible stakeholders and tried to increase cooperation with other University bodies to increase our public visibility. Most importantly I worked with UM to create a sexual assault policy. This policy should entail next to clear definitions of what can be classified as assault also standardized mechanisms on how victims can claim help. "WeCare" is a student organization at UM which addresses the issue of sexual harassment. Together with student associations, the psychological support team and UM we try to optimize the environment so that every student feels safer. Additionally, we try to make it easier for victims of sexual assault to get the help they need. Show less

The transmission system operator is regulated by the European framework of the energy market which requires Gascade to involve in EU politics via the national regulator authorities, as well as the EU umbrella organization ENTSOg. Within my time at Gascade I worked with the regulatory affairs office which gave me valuable insights on EU politics from a private player perspective. Additionally, I required substantial knowledge on the complex system of the EU energy market. Being part of RPM was a valuable experience during my bachelor's. It was my first leadership experience, and it also increased the need for efficient time management during my studies. I had the chance to connect with various people in Maastricht from students and refugees to political organizations, and learned a lot about networking.
