Alberto Gobber
I started working with Mila in 2013 and have been supervising/managing her for at least 3 years now. Her experience in graphic design starts over 15 years ago— when I met her she was definitely the youngest, most experienced and skilled person I have known at her age. Her studies have provided her with a solid background in the production and conception of any kind of graphic design, with a focus on editorial/layout design and photography. She possess an uncommonly high sensibility for design and quality, allowing her to produce very high-level works. She has a good methodology to kick-off and ideate projects, is extremely attentive to detail and understands the importance of effective quality management. Mila is especially gifted for analysis and research phases as well as brand/editorial design, with a personal love and understanding of typography. With a focus on informative communication, we design for digital and analog mediums, covering branding and editorial, illustration and infographics, user interfaces, and user experiences. Thanks to many years of good cooperation as freelancer, I was able to start working as an art director for Lucid.Studio immediately after completing my master’s degree at Burg Giebichenstein KHS Halle in Editorial Design (the degree program was renamed to Visual Strategies and Stories in 2019). My strengths are extensive typographic knowledge, creative sensitivity in dealing with complex and delicate topics, as well as in-depth know-how in the print sector. This focus makes me responsible for concepts, publications and corporate identity as well as smaller web design projects. Show less

During this time I processed printing data for production for books like »Lust auf Lettering« from Martina Flor, implemented corrections in new editions from several books, created product photos and helped out in the preparation and execution of the book fair in Frankfurt. A highlight during this internship was visiting the offset printing company Grammlich, where we attended the press proof of the book »Vom Blatt zum Blättern« from Franziska Morlok and Miriam Waszelewski.
