I had the pleasure of working with Mikkel for several years in his different positions within Phase One. He is a hard worker with a keen analytical mindset, who is able to think strategically and turn that strategy into great results. Mikkel was indispensable in several launches of Capture One Pro, Phase One’s primary software product. With his customer insight and marketing savvy, Mikkel was a key contributor to realizing ambitious sales budgets through several years while raising the marketing content to a whole new level. In addition, Mikkel is a genuinely nice person, who manages to bring creativity, professionalism and humor into the workplace. With Mikkel’s skills and personality, I know he will be a strong asset to any company he works with.

As a Thesis Student at Phase One, I was given the project of creating a subscription model (SaaS). I was put in charge of the strategy, pricing and overall implementation of the project in time for a major version launch, and it has been a huge commercial success for Phase OneSimultaneously, I finished my thesis exploring business models for software companies. I have included a part of the abstract below. Abstract (shortened)Clearly, these changes have greatly impacted the dynamics of the market and therefore also Capture One. But how so, and how much? In order to properly understand the changes in the market dynamic, this thesis seeks to expand the available theory on software revenue models. (...) The combined theories present both an extensive analysis of the market, the business plan and revenue model of Capture One. Show less
