I have know Mike since he came to Chillicothe and was immediately impressed with his skills and commitment to the community. My assessment of Mike has not diminished and his promotions were well deserved and understandable.
Lori McNelly
Mike is a goal-oriented leader. He has clear, attainable expectations and assists those reporting to him in achieving success, as demonstrated by his staff's many awards and recognitions over the years. Mike has high standards for quality, which makes for an exceptional staff and a great product.
Lisa Roberson
Mike Throne is a news man who understands what it means to chase a story. As a previous reporter himself, he knows how to encourage cub reporters to dig deeper, look for other sources and flush out a story until it reaches its full potential. However, probably more important is the fact that he genuinely cares about his employees. As such, he understands that employees do not work in a vacuum where outside life does not exist. He has perfected the balance of getting the most out of his employees while also encouraging them to make the most out of their lives.
