At the start of my time with Stanley and Sons logistics I worked as a driver at the DPD depot in Nottingham, carrying out on average 120 stops a day across a wide variety of postcode areas. DPD is a fast pace working environment where punctuality and the ability to follow procedure is key. I was in the driving role for 9 months before I began managing for the franchise. My role was to plan up to 20 routes a day in peak, each with over 100 stops a day. On the shop floor I was responsible for dispatching the drivers on time according to a 3 wave system so they can meet all of their ETA requirements for both deliveries and collections. Following on from this I would track the drivers along the routes assisting with any delivery or breakdown issues that occurred. Show less

Remarkable.net is one of the UKs leading ecommerce and digital agencies, providing ecommerce solutions for the likes of Moss Bros, Yours Clothing and Ben Sherman. I was based with the Yours Clothing team as a C# Web Developer. Our custom ecommerce application is written using ASP.net MVC relying on an MSSQL database. My day to day tasks included carrying out reactive and preventative site maintenance but for most of the time I was working on the core solution, developing new pieces of functionality whether front end or back end focused. I have recently been involved in the development and launch of yours.ru, along with all other international sites for Yours Clothing such as yoursclothing.de, .nl, .pl and .fr. Show less

Nextrasoft provides complete workforce management solutions for a number of sectors, including a number of high profile clients including DPD and P&O Cruises. After joining the company in October 2015, I became an integral part of the small development team. During my time at Nextrasoft I took on a number of responsibilities, mainly laying within but not limited to front-end development. I created a native application for both Android and iOS platforms for use in-house. The application uses real-time synchronisation and is used to manage employee timesheet hours and expenses alongside client billing. This application was written using a new framework called Nativescript, which allows cross-platform development using Javascript. Show less
