Joining Hummingbird Solutions (Planview lead partner - the leading PMO system integrator) as a principal consultant within the APAC region. It was my role to develop the existing governance and framework of a company’s “light tough” project management office into a fully functioning and well-defined program structure for the implementation and operational management of an ePMO PPM (Project Portfolio Management) platform solution. Key duties included: • Continuously review and improve delivery execution frameworks and optimise project delivery, including the development of standard project templates, processes, guides and tools and training to be utilised by the Program and its projects, in consultation with stakeholders. • Supporting the management of Scaled Agile delivery, including Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Kanban, etc) to ensure the team lives Agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices. • Advocate for project management and provide training and coaching to program team members • Confirmed mandatory deliverables are in-place for the program and its projects including risk-reward-complexity analysis • Support the PMO Manager in establishing and operating the PMO for a project, program, or portfolio. • Driving improvements and uplifting PMO capabilities • Developing and implementing robust processes, supporting the overall governance and controls • Refining existing PMO practices in line with changing requirements and assisting in the establishment of best practices and frameworks. With myself leading the engagement, I provided the customers executive team with recommendations of how to improve the project office by implementing a structured Project Portfolio Methodology and an overlying Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform. This involved all facets of project management, governance, risk mitigation, regulatory initiatives, change management and remediation programs. Show less

Joining Morgan Stanley Capital Index as a global migration project manager for: - Windows 10 - O365 (including Teams and OneDrive) encompassing over (4,000) mailboxes and 3,500 User home drives covering 25 sites globally and 250 “whiteglove” VIPs It was my role to build the migration team (8) and develop the various migration processes, working with the technical engineering functions (including Microsoft) to provide a seamless migration path for a range of technologies based around the two main tenants of WIN10 and O365 components. The two-stage migration approach was initially the deployment of a new WIN10 build to the organisation which was based around a streamlining of 3,000 applications. The O365 migration included both users home drive migration (3,500 Users) to OneDrive, as well as deployment of new mobility technologies (inTune) and a RSA token replacement (Microsoft MFA) and new updates to the VPN Profiles. The business engagement was also developed, including identification and engagement of SPOC’s (single point of contacts) for each business line along with communications plans for all migration components (pre and post) migration and supporting materials. This short term engagement was to implement a cloud-based project portfolio management tool into the recently started PMO office at Hitachi-Vantara (London / Sydney, Australia). It was my role to implemented DAPTIV PPM tooling providing a customised platform tailored to the business processes of Hitachi-Vantara with recommendations on re-engineering some project management processes to bring the project team more in line with current PMO methodologies and practices. Beginning with conducting an analysis of the current project portfolio (50+ live projects) I began tailoring and implementing the PPM tool in a staged uptake, assisting the resource managers with identified business priorities and working with project managers to implement and use the PPM tool. As a result, the PMO began staffing and starting projects with resources which were available. The new processes alleviate the strain on the team, which corresponded to identification of better project priorities and reporting and overall visibility of the pipeline to senior management.
