I worked for him at National CineMedia when theaters switched from analogue to digital, the largest change in cinema since movies went from black and white to color. We overcame the hurdles of new technology, doubling our inventory and having multiple projectors to deal with in widely varied environments and we did it quickly because we all worked as a team, led by Mike. When our first 3D ad arrived and we didn’t have a system in place to process 3D, we were able to get it on screen in a week because Mike was our VP and was willing to go to bat for us when needed or step back and let people do their jobs if that was appropriate.
