Over the last 5 years Mike Erdmann and I were colleagues at Enpath Medical where Mike was the Controller. During this time Mike used his financial skills and good nature to help Enpath grow into an industry leader. Mike’s comprehensive budget model was the bible to keep track of all business issues. He vigorously trained people how to use this excellent tool. When growth issues arose and the business became more complex Mike used his creativity to invent new methods of keeping track of programs so they could be measured and reported. However Mike’s biggest gift is to take financial information, no matter how complex, boil it down and effectively communicate it to employees with varying degrees of financial understanding. Mike’s management style made his team effective and dedicated. Above all Mike is someone I could always approach for direct and honest conversation about any issue.
