WOW!Business provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to a range of business customers throughout the United States. Its core concentration is found within the Midwest and South Regions. As part of its growth plan, WOW!Business seeks integration of its systems with both back office and customer facing applications (Vembu, VMWare, Hyper-V, and more). Back office development is focused on at accurate billing and streamlined deployment. Leveraging my extensive background in integration of diverse systems, my task was to develop a plan for integration across support, billing, and application systems. Using the software development life cycle a plan was develop, designed, implemented, tested, and ultimately deployed for production use. PHP, MySQL, JQuery and related frameworks were utilized to develop this new ecosystem which united the systems. GIT and Chef were introduced to provide software source code control and application deployment. The system was opened to external partners via RESTful services. Using an AGILE approach modifications are handled via a change management process and tightly integrated with the GIF and Chef infrastructure. In a recent project I was called upon to develop an IOS application for mobile management of virtual machines. Using XCode and Swift I developed a full scale mobile application to enumerate authorized virtual machines based upon client access. VCloud Director, Xen, and Hyper-V Virtualization were used extensively in this role. Show less
